Proposing a new command for thieves: Aversion.

  • Aversion is both an attacking and defensive command. Its power creates a heightened awareness so that the user may be able to sense vulnerability of its opponent in combat. The user is then able to avert/block the attack of the enemy and quickly counter-attack.
  • This command can be used at any time (in combat or out)
  • The idea is that it has the same basic principles as lightningshield. The command is issued, the time it lasts will be dependent upon on the skill levels of the player. There is a chance during combat to block an attack (like lshield) and get the quick counter-attack (like reflect of lshield).
  • Cost is 150 gp. It will use at least one stealth skill that has basically been useless up to this point.

Suggestion as discussed from WaterSystem:

  • underwater command for thieves. We could call it eggbeater to justify it only being used underwater. For all those that aren't swimmers, eggbeater is the most efficient way to tread water, allowing you to be powerful and quick. There are two possibilities:
  • 1. It could be an avoidance command. It would increase thieves defense. Generally more agile and nimble than other players, they would have an easier time moving throughout the water. This could be a continuous command which drains your gp for as long as it is used with an initial sum of gp to cast it and smaller amounts to continue. If you break your concentration you would need to recast.
  • 2. If we don't like the idea of heightened defense then it could also provide a temporary bracers of speed effect. This would also be a continuous drain.
  • Things that could effect it: weight of items carried/worn/wielded would make it harder to be more agile.

%META:TOPICINFO{author="DevonScarfe" date="1062483633" format="1.0" version="1.1"}% %META:TOPICPARENT{name="WebHome"}% The pointed aa's for thieves are fewer than they should be. I think that dissection would get just as man pointed aa's as edged.
